One of the blessings of having creative friends is the opportunity to collaborate on projects that produce results far superior to what I can hatch on my own. Such is the case with my talented friend Aileen, who hand makes elaborate headdresses under her label Feather to Fire for sartorial free spirits. We braved some seriously chilly San Francisco weather in the Presidio to get these shots.
Aileen first started crafting these luxurious pieces after seeing them at Burning Man (and of course, she improved on the originals in my humble opinion). Yes, Burning Man 2013 is over, but it’s never too early to plan for next year or to build up a warrior princess wardrobe for music festivals.
Check out Aileen’s Feather to Fire shop on Etsy to get your own custom headpiece!
